M4A1-S Solitude Patterns and Prices

M4A1-S Solitude prices by pattern and wear, the Yellow Mountains seeds collectors pay extra for, and what a Factory New 379 or 304 has actually sold for on CSFloat.

A normal M4A1-S Solitude costs about as much as a sandwich. A Factory New one on the right seed has sold for $496. Those are the same skin, and the gap comes down to two numbers on the item: the pattern index and the float.

This guide covers both, using completed CSFloat sales recorded between 26 April and 19 September 2026. Every group below links to its page on the M4A1-S Solitude skin page, where the full sale history lives.

What the pattern changes on a Solitude

The Solitude artwork is a landscape: a sun, a range of mountains, and sky. The pattern index (paint seed) shifts which colors land where. On most seeds you get a yellow sun over blue mountains. On a smaller set, the mountains themselves come out yellow, and that's the version people hunt for.

This site tracks two groups:

  • Yellow Mountains: 16 seeds. 12, 95, 112, 154, 180, 220, 304, 379, 533, 650, 652, 669, 731, 743, 863 and 871.
  • Yellow Sun & Blue Mountains: 64 seeds, the more common look.

Neither list comes from Valve. They're this site's judgment of which seeds look and trade alike, and other trackers may draw the line in a slightly different place. If pattern seeds are new to you, what a CS2 pattern index is covers the basics.

Yellow Sun & Blue Mountains641,077$4.25$100

The medians tell you most of what you need. A Yellow Mountains seed trades for roughly double a Yellow Sun seed in the same condition. That's a real premium on a cheap skin, but it's a premium measured in dollars, not hundreds of dollars, unless the float is low.

Yellow Mountains

Seed 379 is the one people search for, and it's also the most traded: 119 sales in the window, with a median of $9.90. Its best sale was $496 for a Factory New copy with no stickers on it, so that price is the seed and the float talking, not a craft.

Seed 304 came close at $439.28, also Factory New and also sticker-free. Its float was 0.0031, which is about as clean as the skin gets. Seed 220 sold for $366.07 at a float of 0.0001.

Seed 12 is worth a mention for a different reason. Its highest sale ($264.90) is lower than the top three, but its median of $15.90 is the best in the group across 86 sales. If you're buying a Yellow Mountains copy in Minimal Wear or Field-Tested, 12 tends to cost a bit more than the others.

Yellow Sun & Blue Mountains

This is the everyday Solitude. Field-Tested copies had a median of $1.80, and even Factory New ones sat at $24.98. Two seeds, 53 and 321, each topped out at $100. Seed 321 trades most often in the group (60 sales) and has the highest median, $7.90.

Float matters more than the pattern here

Look at the wear numbers for Yellow Mountains seeds without StatTrak:

WearSalesMedian sale
Factory New74$59.90
Minimal Wear339$13.90
Field-Tested457$5.00
Well-Worn13$3.00
Battle-Scarred34$1.27

A Factory New copy of any Yellow Mountains seed costs about twelve times a Field-Tested one. The pattern premium over the common group is roughly 2x. So if you're shopping on a budget, a Minimal Wear Yellow Mountains usually looks better per dollar than a Factory New Yellow Sun, and it's the pattern people will recognize.

Seed 379 shows the same thing on its own. Its six Factory New sales had a median of $229.89. Its 82 Field-Tested sales had a median of $8.90. Float values explained goes into why the wear tiers split prices this sharply.

Is a Solitude worth buying for the pattern?

For a Field-Tested copy, the pattern is worth a few dollars and not much more. I wouldn't overpay for "yellow mountains" in a listing title at that wear. For Factory New, it's a different skin: a clean 379, 304 or 220 has cleared $350 more than once, and those sales had no stickers carrying them.

One caution about the Steam Community Market. It lists every Solitude in a wear bracket together, so its price history blends seed 379 with every ordinary seed. CSFloat vs Steam Market pattern prices explains why that hides the premium. If you're pricing a Yellow Mountains copy, use the group page above, not the Steam graph.

How to check your Solitude's seed

Inspect the gun in game, or open it on CSFloat, and read the paint seed. Put that number in the lookup box near the top of this page. How to check a CS2 pattern index walks through the in-game and marketplace steps if you haven't done it before.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wear matters more than anything else: Factory New Yellow Mountains copies had a median of $59.90, Field-Tested ones $5.

What is the best M4A1-S Solitude pattern?

Seed 379 holds the highest recorded sale here, $496 for a Factory New copy with no stickers. Seeds 304 ($439.28) and 220 ($366.07) are next, both Factory New. All three are in the Yellow Mountains group.

What is a Yellow Mountains M4A1-S Solitude?

One of 16 tracked seeds where the mountains in the artwork render yellow. This site tracks them as their own group because they sell for about twice the price of the other tracked group, Yellow Sun & Blue Mountains, in the same wear.

Does float matter on the M4A1-S Solitude?

More than the pattern, in most cases. For Yellow Mountains seeds, the Factory New median ($59.90) was about four times the Minimal Wear median ($13.90) and twelve times the Field-Tested one ($5). A Factory New copy of a top seed is where the real premium sits.

How do I check my M4A1-S Solitude pattern?

Inspect the skin in game or open its CSFloat listing and read the paint seed (pattern index). Then enter that number in the lookup on this page or on the M4A1-S Solitude skin page to see which tracked group it belongs to.
